What I have done so far: Set the router to client bridge mode (this disables dhcp and WAN). Then I set an ip reservation in the host WNDR3700 pointing to the Linksys and associated it with the Linksys MAC address (more on this later). I also set the wireless mode, SSID, and security key to match the Netgear and successfully joined the network.
